Peter Blumeyer is an attorney based in Holland & Knight's Jacksonville office and a member of the firm's Private Wealth Services Group. He focuses his practice on estate planning and administration, the law of tax-exempt/nonprofit organizations and related litigation matters. He regularly represents individuals, families, charitable organizations and institutional fiduciaries locally and throughout the country concerning issues of both Florida and federal law. In doing so, he combines skills developed across practice areas to provide a broad array of services to his clients.
Mr. Blumeyer assists clients with a spectrum of estate, general tax and charitable planning, including related asset transfer advice. He is proficient in drafting wills, a wide variety of trusts and advance directives, including powers of attorney, designations of healthcare surrogate and living wills. Relatedly, he provides representation for fiduciaries and beneficiaries in the administration of trusts and estates, with experience in matters involving will and trust interpretation and modification. Mr. Blumeyer also advocates on behalf of nonprofit organizations as beneficiaries of matured trust and estate bequest.

Bill Sorrenson has extensive experience in business valuations, having completed hundreds of analyses for clients in industries such as construction, manufacturing, wholesale, professional services, and distribution. His expertise includes using various valuation methods—such as going concern, net asset, and market comparable approaches—and analyzing economic, industry, and company-specific factors. Bill also specializes in valuing estate interests for estate planning, 706 filings, gifting, and compliance with partnership agreements.
In addition to valuations, Bill provides advisory services aimed at enhancing business value. He has helped clients across different sectors, including manufacturing and professional services, implement processes to improve operations. Notable successes include improving a manufacturing client’s on-time delivery from 72% to 97.5% and helping a service client cut $320,000 in annual expenses.
Before joining Business Valuations, Inc., Bill held senior roles at an engineering and management services firm, as well as at Deloitte & Touche, where he led supply chain optimization and ERP implementation projects. He began his career in defense contracting, supporting U.S. Navy weapon systems.
Robert H. “Bo” Trudeau is Florida Bar Board Certified in both (1) Taxation and (2) Wills, Trusts, and Estates. Bo’s practice focuses on the legal needs of business owners and high net worth individuals. Specifically, he focuses on the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, asset protection, taxation, business planning, and the preparation and negotiation of marital agreements for high net worth individuals.
Bo received his B.A. from Clemson University. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of South Carolina and was granted membership in the Order of the Wig and Robe and the Order of the Coif (each Order awarding membership for academic achievement). He received his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida, and was admitted as a Graduate Tax Scholar. Bo graduated in the top 5% of his class in both his J.D. and LL.M. programs.
Bo frequently lectures on topics such as basic and advanced estate and tax planning, planning for owners of closely-held businesses (with a particular focus on buy-sell agreements), and asset protection. Bo is a past Chair of the Board Certification Committee (Taxation) for The Florida Bar, and he is a past President and board member for the Estate Planning Council of Northeast Florida. He is also a member of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law and Tax sections of The Florida Bar.
