Recognizing Dementia

Dementia is not a specific disease. It's an overall term that describes a group of symptoms associated with a decline in memory or other thinking skills severe enough to reduce a person's ability to perform everyday activities. Dementia is a sensitive topic to discuss with one's clients or loved ones.

Can you spot the signs of cognitive decline? We'll be learning from the professionals in providing memory care to help you understand the difference between normal aging and dementia symptoms so you can better protect your older clients.

This field trip will include a tour of Arbor Terrace.
